Howe Writing Consultant Wins International Writing Contest
Writing Center consultant, Lorraine Boissoneault, won a competitive award for “Best Undergraduate Prose” in the magazine Literary Laundry. The magazine publishes, “the best poetry, short stories, and one-act drama that contemporary writers have to offer.” The magazine received almost 3000 entries from 30 countries for this issue. 14 Writers in the Class of 2014 Win “I Believe” Contest
Fourteen first-year students won gift certificates and plaques for “I Believe” essays they wrote last summer. To compete for the prizes, students described in 350 to 500 words the core beliefs and values that guide their lives.
